Now, I consider myself fairly open-minded when it comes to video games; historically I've been lucky enought to own and game on just about every major system/pc from as early as the Coleco Telstar Arcade. This gen I bought a 360 around launch, bought a Wii when I could find one and I have always maintained that when the price dropped on the PS3, I would buy one (and I did). I was not waiting on a price drop because I valued the PS3 brand less, but rather because I didn't see the point in paying a premium for a blu-ray player I wouldn't use (dedicated Sony blu-ray player in my entertainment center) or Wi-Fi that I didn't need (direct connect ethernet behind TV).
However, while playing Resistance yesterday, I found myself critiquing the game against other FPS games I have played, specifically against games I've played on my 360. After giving it a little thought, I realized that my experience with both Uncharted (the shooting parts) and the demo for Killzone 2 have also been colored by experiences I've had on my 360.
Previously I would have stated that I would be able to enjoy any game to it's fullest, regardless of console (all other things being equal, as the Sony controller has always been a little small for my hands).
So this is NOT about which system/game is better; that my friends has been done to death. No, the question I have for you VGChartz is this; does anyone here consider themselves able to transcend bias? Personally, I have looked into the eyes of bias...and found myself lacking.
