I really liked the first one so I may check out this one soon.

I wouldn't say top 10, but I think it (and Dead Space) were miles ahead of RE5. Mind you, I'll admit I've never actually liked RE games - I just can't suspend belief when playing them for some reason.

I thought the first Condemned story played out better, but the use of actual detective work in the second was better. The combat was visceral but I could have done without the finishing moves - that aspect kept jerking me out the game.

It is a good title if you like unsettling horror, but a bit patchy with the story I thought.

@nen-suer, I really like Silent Hill and keep forgetting Blood Curse is available, do you think I'd like it? It seems very similar in tone to Silent Hill. I missed Siren on the PS2 first time around.

I don't know if you're playing it on 360 or PS3, but if it's on 360 you should check out the original Condemned. I found it much scarier, personally. Especially since there wasn't such an emphasis on guns.

If you love "silent hill" you will love Siren, what people didn't like in Siren 1,2 were the controls

But "Blood Curse" controls are better, am pretty sure you would love it .

Thanks, I do love to be scared (no idea why).  There are so few really unsettling games out there.  I'l give it a go and let you know what I think.

I enjoyed it waaay more than Resident Evil 5. But I think Dead Space has the edge. Definately worth buying though if you are a horror nut.
