Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo revenues per generation

guys remeber that nintendo has the most revenue as a videogame company and it doesn't even do anything else besides video games.

can you believe this:

Nintendo enetered the Top 100 Worlds Most Valuable Brands for the very first time and has passed sony and many other high companys to come in at an amazing spot. Number 32....

OMG Nintendo is the 32nd most valuable brand in the world and this is the first time ever. This means if there were 3 caps besides each other like MS, Nintendo and Sony, the hat which has Microsoft written on it would cost the most then Nintendo's hat would cost the most and then finally Sony...

And in this list they count all other markets the company is in so while MS and Sony are in other markets nintendo is only in video games so nintendo the company itself is worth more than sony combined all of its market and obviously MS will be first cause of windows.

just keep scrolling down and the list is on page 9 but you may want to read the article

One thing about Nintendo, they know how to run their business in their industry.

I game.  You game.  We game.

I'm a videogamer, not a fanboy, but have a special place for Nintendo.

Well, you misunderstood me. The graphic probably(clearly) is for Nintendo's total revenue, but only shows the home console generations, so it neglects the influence handhelds had on the curve.

That graph is not adjusted for inflation, is it?

Far more interesting, look at page 24 of the report, which lists the brand value of each console/handheld:

This is kind of strange, the gamecube's brand value is almost as strong as PS2? And the Playstation 3 has a brand value that is less than a tenth of the 360s brand value?

Do they have a defintion listed, just so we can be clear?

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
