Forums - Gaming - Xboxist.com - 299$ Elite vs PS3 Showdown

The only true value of the PS3 is the Blu-Ray reader.... I'm not convinced about the rest...

This comparaison also lacksthe coming "movies on demand" on the 360...

Evan Wells (Uncharted 2): I think the differences that you see between any two games has much more to do with the developer than whether it’s on the Xbox or PS3.

As long as Blu-Ray disc prices are above DVD prices, I don't care about BR at all.

The free online is a big win for the PS3 though.

That is not true...

XBL is cheap....

XBL is cheap....

It costs as much as a game... per year.

If I cared about playing online with consoles I may not have bought a 360.

One game per year indeed....that is not expensive.

I think it is... most people don't buy that many games for their consoles, so being able to buy one more game per year is significant.

It's even more than one game if you buy promotions or used games, of course.

I don't think that the success of the XBOX brand can rely on such (very very cheap) consumers segment.

The total numbers of games sold is still massively superior on the 360. Most people do get a lot of game a year.

You do know the attach rate of the 360 is about 7-8 games per console, right?

I do. But only for retail games right ?

Yeah, which are the most expensive ones.
