Forums - Gaming - C.o.D. 4 better on ps3

Gamedaily:

"Still, as strong as Call of Duty 4 is shaping up to be in the gameplay department, the most immediately impressive aspect is by far its graphics. The PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions all look surprisingly similar, but that's not due to one platform being the lead; Infinity Ward personally assured us that development occurred simultaneously on all three platforms, and that there wasn't a base system. With that said, the console similarities end when it comes to textures, lighting and resolutions, because those three areas make the PlayStation 3 version definitely excel over the Xbox 360 SKU. Regardless, every console owner will proudly use Call of Duty 4 to showcase their high-definition TV, because COD4 is by far the best-looking console game you will see this year."

I think as soon as people get used to work on ps3 the different power will come out..maybe 2008 is going to become the year of the rise for ps3.

X_X And?

I prefer that the PS3 game will be launched at the same day as the X360 version and not like many games will be launched a month later.

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

Interesting. I usually pick up multiplat games for the 360 but I'll have to keep an eye on this one. Since I won't be playing multiplayer that much (too many other freakin' games), the PS3 version may be tempting.

I love how this guy posts one thing.

I have had the honor of actually playing the 360 version, and the control scheme on the PS3 just can't compare.

Be an actual member and post some stuff, maybe you'll become the next Kwaad or Soriku for your designated platform.

The fact that the PS2 had slightly poorer graphics than it's competitors didn't hurt it's sales any. If you have a PS3 enjoy, but this won't affect console sales any.

The developers have said that both games are the exact same; that's who I'm going to believe.

I'm only gonna say this one thing: my computer is a little dated in terms of graphics cards and dual core power, but I played the PC demo earlier on it's highest possible settings at completely smooth frame rates.

This isn't going to be much better performance and visual wise on the 360 or PS3 if mid-range gaming PC's can push it without trouble. The high-end PC's will trump both consoles at resolutions above 1080p for CoD4 and I believe that to be as of right now.

Wait, I may just be misunderstanding your post. Are you saying CoD 4 is being released later on the PS3? or are you just talking about the current trend in 360/ps3 releases?

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!
