I am recent owner of a PS3 so would say it was price. There are only (currently) about 4 games I am interested in on the PS3 (I've bought 2 already), so the console couldn't cost too much or it wouldn't justify the purchase.

Finding the time to play my 360 and PS3 has been an issue; but I guess there are worse problems in life.

There is nothing 'preventing' me from getting a 360, it's just the sheer fact that I think having 3 consoles is absurd, when I am still trying to keep up with new releases etc, and the fact that I was brought up with Sony and Nintendo consoles. This can totally change next gen, or if I hit the lotto.

I have a PS3 and im thinking about buying a X360 - and the reason being that i can download games, so that i dont have to pay full price on average titles. And also because i want to see what all the fuzz is about when it comes to XBL.

But im hesitant because of the price, and what you get for that price. I need to fork out for WiFi, possible HDD upgrade, Live membership and a battery recharger. And that's alot of money for a console that ill only use for "average" titles.

Nintendo goes the way of SEGA and starts developing multiplat.

So... never.

Roommate has a x360, so for the moment the only current gen console I'm missing is a wii. I don't care at all about handheld gaming so I'm not even considering buying one of those. I get more than enough gaming entertainment out of the systems I have access to now (ps3,x360,pc,gc,ps2), I see no need to buy another.

There's no requirement  for a "gamer" to own every system.

Out of the current hardware, I have a 360 and ds. I don't have the time to game as much as I would like on the systems I own, so it's hard to justify purchasing others. I don't regret the choices I have made because I'm very happy playing gears 2 multiplayer and advance wars.

However, I have to say that the PS3 is now a very attractive proposition. It's dropped to a very reasonable price and has games that I would like such as VC and KZ2. GT5 is also something I will be interested in. I also want a blu-ray machine. The only problem with the PS3 hardware as it stands is that I would also want it to replace my Denon dvd player. Sony quickly dropped the SACD playback on the PS3 after the initial design and it won't play multiregion dvds, so I would need to keep the dvd player.

As for the Wii, I'd like to go through RE4 again with the motion controls and the Zelda game and SMG look like fun, but graphically it all looks too much like a gamecube still and I couldn't justify the purchase on that basis.

I currently have a PS3 and a PSP.The only way I'ld ever purchase a 360 is when it has unique games like Heavy Rain, MAG- The 256 player battle makes u feel like u are in an actual war, Resistance 2- Massive co-op and competitive mode,Killzone 2- I don't need to say anything about that one. I know ppl will argue about Killzone and Resistance but they really offer unique online experiences that separate them from the other console shooters.And yes, I have played Gears of War and Halo, so also Call of Duty.If the Xbox also comes with built in WiFi and very little chance of RROD also.
If the Xbox 360 starts coming with blu ray(which is not possible till next gen)
As for the Wii, i'm not just feeling it this gen because big name titles such as Call of Duty have to be watered down on it so if they can make the games on the Wii as good as the ps3 and xbox 360 then maybE i'ld buy it but that's not till next gen

i have a Wii, DS, and 2 Gamecubes (ones built into my Wii! Yay Nintendo) now i don't think i will buy any other hd console as to that i take my school and my grades seriously so if i can't keep my straight A's on( i have to get A+ in all math categories, science and social studies) then i won't be allowed to buy anymore games...

Wii gets most love obviously then i just ought my dsi on june 12th and only have 2 games so far so yeah and then gamecube..

Hmm. . . I actually wasn't expecting lists of PS3 exclusives and features in this thread. Am I daft? Do people read the OP or do they just have some rote responses in a Word document and copy and paste them depending on the title?
