I agree with all this but can someone explain why Sony woudl release the PSP Slim at this time then? It did really well but still, why would anyone choose this time of year for high profile releases.



Final* Word on Game Delays:

The game will not be any better or include more content then planned. Any commnets that say so are just PR hogwash to make you feel better for having to wait.

Delays are due to lack of proper resources, skill, or adequate planning by the developer.

Do be thankful that they have enough respect for you to delay the game and maintain its intended level of quality.

 Possibly because they knew there would be little to no competition.




If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

  Exactly.  The ps2 started slow, but year after year it gained more and more momentum.   I expect a similar effect to happen to the ps3, in Japan at least. It still has a pretty good hold of the JRPG market, with FFXIII, WKS, Disgaea 3, Persona 4, Steamboat Chronicles 2, etc.

The PS2 started out real slow. Slower than the Wii, right?

Did anyone buy Disgaea 2? I mean Disgaea 1 takes a long enough time after you beat the game with being able to go up to ridiculious dragon ball Z esque power levels...

It's the reason why I haven't gone back to finish La Pucelle Tactics or Phantom Brave. Really the Nipon Icchi games are niche games. Along with Persona and the whole Shin Megami franchise.

Awesome games... but sadly nobody really buys them. Well Disgaea was just average for a strategy RPG. Though it's story was pretty funny the gameplay was kinda mediocre. That's really how all the Nippon Ichi strategy games are though.
