Sadly I agree with Ben, they could of upgraded the engine a bit. It doesn't look bad, but it doesn't look great either.
Either way its a good price for the pack-in and everything together so I will likely get it just to have a zapper.

It wont sell a million... but I'll buy two!.........?

Anyone else not like the Zapper design? It just isn't how you would normally hold a gun. Typically the trigger is pulled with the dominant hand while it holds the rear handle. The front handle is purely for support. But in this case they reversed it. That seems like it would be 10 kinds of awkward to use.
I would've just stuck with the shotgun shell they had at E3 '06.
Current systems owned: Wii, 360. I'll get a PS3 when hell freezes over!... or when the price drops to a reasonable level. Whichever comes first.
I don't see this as the next WiiPlay... The zapper is a useless shell (and a pretty crappy looking one at that) and WiiPlay comes with a Wiimote, which everyone needs another one of
Help! I'm stuck in a forum signature!
I think this looks great, and is very compelling at the price.
The WiiZapper is only a lump of plastic - but I think a lot of people would buy it for $20. Especially with the right marketing.
And any form of Zelda/Link spin-off - no matter how shallow - would easily sell for $20.
Put them together for the same price - and I'm sure you have a hit.
(when is the last time Nintendo sold *any* boxed game for $20?)
...
I'll be getting this for sure - but it had better sell for $50 or less in Australia :P
(even $50 is a rip-off...)

and with the plethora of light gun style games coming out, I think the zapper will do alright. I'll probably pick one up since it's only 20 dollars. Hell 20 dollars for any game plus peripheral is a good deal.
I think Nintendo made a smart choice with this. I wouldn't pay 40 dollars for one, certainly not 50. But at 20 I don't see a reason not to buy one. And after I have it I'll be alot more likely to buy games that make use of it such as RE:UC (which I guess is just about a gauranteed buy once I have the zapper). I think that's what they were going for. Push it out the door dirt cheap so people will buy light gun games. If the zapper did poorly, the UC and ghost squad would do even worse.

You can find me on facebook as Markus Van Rijn, if you friend me just mention you're from VGchartz and who you are here.

It looks pretty sharp for a budget game. I might buy 2 copies.
