No. I'd rather the sequel be profitable... like the Wii-make... so more then one sequel could be made.

Having it lose millions of dollars serves nobody.

Who cares, it'd be a bust either way. I just wanna see Okami in HD. I can just imagine the eyegasm ;_;

And we don't know what the title means. It's just speculation. As said in the OP, it could easily be short for Okami Gaiden, meaning Okami Chronicles. Stop trying to crush our dreams!
