Wow Cry-Engine makes the Unreal engine look like a relic, i hope many great devs use this game for RPGS of all kinds, it will be epic of this quality.

the engine looks good, but i still prefer the ue3 because we have actuall games released using it, i will wait and see what a game for both systems looks like. before i pass judgement on wether it truly is that much better, i think thats a fair thing to do.

Oh no, I played both and found them to be pure shit, actually. The story is generic, the environments nothing new, the whole suit was silly and forced and the physics were cooky as all hell. The visuals were good but not mindblowingly good like in the promo shots.

I play it on max settings at 1920*1080 with some AA and it does look mindblowing. I agree with the gameplay not being super-fun though (although I enjoy the freedom). You should also try playing the game Snake-style (emphasizing stealth). It's a lot different than run-and-gunning.

Crytek engines absolutely rule. They always seem to push the envelope. When FarCry came out for PC it ate my video card for breakfast. Once I got a new one that could handle the engine at the highest settings, I was BLOWN AWAY. When Crysis came out, I built a whole new computer just to play it, and was blown away again.

To those of you who say UE3 looks better then CryEngine 3, you're on crack. CryEngine 2 smoked UE3 and CryEngine 3 will too. A YouTube video isn't going to do it justice, you need to see it on a computer monitor or an HDTV. For the longest time, UE3 couldn't even handle anti aliasing for crying out loud!

Actually with Physx, UT3 holds up better than you would think, Crysis Warhead still destroys UT3, but its still a better fight.

I see a lot of pop ins... Other than that...Wow. A multiplat engine that can render those kind of graphics..
