Attention, duelists! My hair is telling you that there are great deals in Canada!

Sorry for that, I'm glad to see that currency conversion actually makes sense in Canada. Cool.

Awesome. Little kuriboh is hilarious.

do u have a PS3 yet???

No...and slim wont cut it for me. I am not looking to impress my freinds with less USB ports or lack of PS2 BC.

I'll try to pick one up used. I already see 40GB of craigslist for 200 bucks...wait till october and 80 GB fat model will be there.

People will want the slim...as the whole idea  and image around PS3 is based around "new tech" and "cutting edge". So what do you do when your PS3 is no longer new tech? You sell it cheap and get the latest model of couse...

don't worry ps3 won't the cheap look crown for the 360,

its video game console, not a miss universe peagent you are not going to date it for Fck it, and 40gb only have ps1 BC.

paying 100$ extra for a higher HDD and warranty doesn't sound ike a bad deal.

Slim:

- Probably less chance of breaking - not likely. Both PS1 and PS2 slim had issues with heat when they came out
- Less electricity costs - err, true
- Quiter - speculation, we dont know yet unless you already have it. PS3 is quiet as a mime already so I dont know if this is true
- Cooler - most likely not true, see point 1
- Bigger HDD than most models - true
- No fingerprints! - less shiny, we in America like bling

^It's £100

And yes, I think it's a good deal. If you dont use memory card readers or play ps2 games whats the point.

By the way, when trading in a console do you need to trade in any cables/controllers with it?

Well, dont you think it will have less chance of breaking than a 60GB (feels like a time bomb), and you get a warranty. Also, shiny is overrated, you'l probably save that £99 on electricity within a year or two and it has been confirmed quieter by some randomer.

Funny enough, it's also smaller ;)

"According to early tests, the PS3 Slim generates significantly less noise than the original console when it's operating; not only with games, but also when playing Blu-ray movies."
