Forums - Sony - Attention future PS3 slim shoppers in Toronto, Canada...

3 of the HMVs downtown have started selling the PS3 slim.

They have a simple chart that breaks down the PS3 pricing in their store.

Uncharted 160 GB bundle - was 499, now 399

PS3 80 GB - was 399, now 299

PS3 40 GB - was 349, now 299

PS3 Slim - 299

I'd check HMV stores acros Canada as I worked in one before and they love to break street dates. They suck balls though for firing me when I was 18 so don't ive them too much business...just this one time purchase ok? ;)

No...and slim wont cut it for me. I am not looking to impress my freinds with less USB ports or lack of PS2 BC.

I'll try to pick one up used. I already see 40GB of craigslist for 200 bucks...wait till october and 80 GB fat model will be there.

People will want the slim...as the whole idea  and image around PS3 is based around "new tech" and "cutting edge". So what do you do when your PS3 is no longer new tech? You sell it cheap and get the latest model of couse...

The 80GB are 299 too...why just not get one of those??...or are just waiting for a dirt cheap price

^^
you buy stuff to impress your friends?

Attention, duelists! My hair is telling you that there are great deals in Canada!

Sorry for that, I'm glad to see that currency conversion actually makes sense in Canada. Cool.

rofl, why wouldn't they make it cheaper? why would someone want the 40 GB if they can get the 80 one?

I don't...but it seems te only reason one would buy a slim over the fat one(while they are available) is to impress his uneducated freinds.

"Its new...even more powerful!"

wa wa wi wa!
