I'm sure someone said this already but why not bundle it with the $299 slim version???

NJ5 - i don't know about being stupid if they don't bundle it. GT5 will be their biggest game to be released. Don't you think they should take that for granted and sell as many copies they can. Giving it away for free would eat their profits for holiday quarter.

Depends on which bundle we're talking about... if they charge $399 for this bundle, they're still making a lot more money than on the $299 slim. $100 for a game and a HDD upgrade is a good deal for Sony.

If they bundle it with the $299 PS3 it means they really want to boost sales as much as possible in the holiday season.

In any case, millions of people who already own a PS3 will buy GT5 in the holidays, with or without bundles, so they're sure to get a lot of money from that (at the expense of 3rd party game sales).

250 GB should be enough space for me so I won't need to upgrade. If this is indeed true, for $400 and a downloadable PSN game I might buy it.

Also 250gb is actually needed believe it or not, if you want to really make use of PSN.

Would it be bundled at $300 WITH a game? I don't think they would do that.

Throwing in a bigger HDD and GT5 at 399 would probably make a profitable bundle, unlike the current 299 bundle. 

It would work in Eu though at 299pounds/Euro.
