This is what I wanted to convey. And no, a single conversation cannot fully clue you in to what a person is really like. But it does give you a starting point to make some initial surface impressions.
For example, I worked as a sports writer for 15 years. I have met/interviewed some professional athletes (though I mostly covered high school sports). That gives me a window to make some very basic informal impressions. But even at that, I cannot say what is in their hearts. But I have more knowledge than those who make their judegement off of E3 videos.

I am Mario.I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble. Wii Friend Code: 1624 6601 1126 1492 NNID: Mike_INTV |
Well I think shes fine, for a suit.

I game. You game. We game.
I'm a videogamer, not a fanboy, but have a special place for Nintendo.

And the first part is why I like Cammie. She causes the "hardcorez" to want to pull out their hair, because she speaks of how Nintendo isn't pandering to their every whim, but is raking in the cash, expanding the videogame market.
