I'm a Halo fanatic and never cared much for the MP games.

I'd have to say the Metroid Prime trilogy the single player in the halo games went from great to good to god awful. Halo 3 single player is in my opinion is dreck

As a trilogy?

I'd say Halo.

I liked Halo and Halo 2 a lot. Didn't like Halo 3.

However, I did enjoy MP3 more than all of them.

I haven't played all the Halos but i played equal measures of Halo CE and Metroid Prime, generally accepted as the best games in their respective trilogies, around the same time.

As a single player experience Prime kills Halo, but it is surprising how much the Halo experience improves when you play it in co-op.

Based on those two games i still give the edge to Metroid but i love them both.
