No such thing as negative acceleration. The closest thing of accomplishing that feat would be staying completely still. Not even a twich.

Ok I think this is geeting a little pedantic. The rate at which an object loses speed can be measured as deceleration. Hence in Forza 3, the game will cause your car to decelerate (slow down at a rate of 'x' m/s at any given time) when it needs to.

JEDE3 is always pedantic when it comes to anything 360/MS. I wonder why he's even posting in this thread since he despises the 360 and doesn't want Forza3. It seems his trolling is an accepted occurence in VGC since I never see Sony loyals tell him to STFU like they do 360 trolls in PS3. threads.

Being in 2nd feels so much better than being in 3rd

LOL. Yeah, deceleration is a word. A quick look in the dictionary would have shown that.

Yeah... a word is added in a dictionary if it is just used. "To decide which words to include in the dictionary and to determine what they mean, Merriam-Webster editors study the language as it's used. They carefully monitor which words people use most often and how they use them." So, just because people say something doesn't make it right. I mean... bling is now a word. That's like saying Roar and Meow is a word.

Well, languages and words are created so that ideas can be understood.  Deceleration is a word that implies a very simple idea.  Don't try to make communication harder than it should be.

I think he is just butt hurt that someone called him out on his erroneous damage comment.  Someone so obviously attuned to details, such as himself, should not have missed that.  He is just embarrassed.

Stop trolling!  The autobrake is just a fucking feature for noobs, they are only putting stuff like that in so more people buy their game.  There is nothing wrong with having noob features for people who aren't very good at these games.  When you use these modes of course its not gonna be realistic, but when you turn all the assists off its gonna be pretty damn realistic....

never said anything bad about the feature lol.... talk about overly defensive people...

Leave Forza 3 aloooooone!

Lol @ the improv physics lecture (and denying there is such a thing as deceleration, if there were no clocks we wouldn't have the word "clock" either, simple as that).

OT: The races seem fine but the damage didn't exactly blow me away to be honest (I know it was on cosmetic but it was still highly unrealistic). The menu's were kind of drab, but that doesn't matter (nothing is worse than GT's menu pleasure jazz anyway...).
Neither physics or graphics appear to be incredibly awesome or best ever, which is what most people expect, like others have said; that kind of thing is reserved for PC racers.

I'm not more hyped after the videos but I'm certainly not less hyped either! Can't wait to try this out on my TV and with proper surround sound!

So back on topic. Does the personally tailored saeson they talk about mean that you could potentially miss out on some of the events if you favour certain cars/tracks over others? I guess that could add some reply value to playing the season mode.
