I think they make plenty of profit on TVs... consoles are different because they make profit on accessories and software.

I'd bet TVs are sold at least at a 10% margin.

 

TVs are the exception.  A retailer can often make a lot on brandname TVs.

Well their main revenue source is software, you wouldn't expect them to make much on HW as they want to get people in their stores to sell more SW and to increase the userbase
