Look... it is an FPS, there is no doubt about it, an FPS has a first person view and shooting.

FPS however is not really a proper genre of game.... so most of what we call FPS are really just action games, same for TPS and hack and slash. This is something people complain about the HD twins line up, most of the games are very similar.... a response is to split them into TPS and FPS as if suddenly the games are wildly different, but they are not.

Metroid Prime 3 is an FPS... but it is not an action FPS, but and Adventure FPS.... If it were third person, It would be more like Zelda and less like God of War.

I agree. Despite it's great critical reception, it just hasn't gotten the appreciation it deserves.

its my favorite metroid, but if your looking for heavy backtracking and really well hidden pathways, this...no the prime series is not the series for you.

IMO, it's an overrated game. I've started it 3 or 4 times, and by the time I reach around 40% of the second planet i get bored. It's too monotonous, easy and boring.

I'm glad you came back to the game and got past your initial control shock. The Wii FPS controls pioneered by MP3 are a shock for the first 30 minutes or so, but after you adapt, it starts to feel soooo gooooood.

As for difficulty, the normal difficulty in MP3 is really easy mode. A couple bosses might kill you once or twice, but it should be pretty smooth sailing. If you're any good at games, or want to get your butt kicked a little, you should play on veteran.

And once you unlock hypermode difficulty... well, I'm impressed by anybody who beats the game on that setting. I threw in the towel on the last boss of Bryyo.

Can't wait to get the Trilogy and play the whole series over again.

Super Mario Galaxy most overrated game of all time? No sorry but GTA4 takes first place for that. I enjoy SMG more than MP3. But I was how you were. I played it at first and wasn't so into it. Then tried it again for a second time and it just clicked.
