Now, that isn't to say I'm going to be playing video games the whole time, because that isn't the case, but I do intend to spend my next few weeks gaming the best way possible.
In the first place I will be playing Little King's Story - at long last, the night has ended, and the Sun will rise again on my game collection. This day has been coming since forever.
The truth of the matter, though, is that my wfe and I are going to be playing the console Zelda games from Ocarina to Twilight. I'm trying to get her to include the original game and Link to the Past in the equation, but I'm not married to the idea - we wer both actually introduced to the series via Ocarina of Time, and the games that have come out since then are the ones w have shared for the pas eight years or so.
We will be playing Ocarina of Time together, alternating dungeons. Majora's Mask I will play by myself, since I have only beaten it once. Wind Waker we will play together, and Twilight Princess she will beat by herself, since we completed that game in such a frenzy of motion and violence that she does not remember it as well as she could. I hope she will appreciate the game more this time through. We'll take our times progressing through the games, noting how the game's design has changed in 3-D over the years. I think it will be a very positive experience for both of us and help supply us with some perspective on these goings-on.
In any case we'll be ready for Zelda Wii whenever it's announced (the announcement is half the fun, after all).
That, however, is not the end of it.
With Metroid Prime Trilogy coming out tomorrow, I think we'll end up doing the same thing with Zero Mission, Super Metroid, Fusion, and the Primes. I think we should play them in the order they were released, but we'll see what my wife has to say about it.
I tell you, it's things like these that make me appreciate my hobby.
