100% agree. I mean, I was one of the only ones saying 100 dollar price cut was going to accompany the realease of the slim. the majority claimed sony was losing too much and a 50 dollar price cut if any at all was more reasonable.

  I remember also in 2008 when there was news of 45nm cell being manufactured, and some said no way there will be a slim so soon, it's too early, there are more hurdles than just the cell size etc.

MikeB, Listen you had a few good predictions, but's there is better ways to throw it in people face.

Imho the reason why you get flamed so often is that almost any single of your posts is written in a manner that makes it seem reasonable at first look, but when reading between the lines it turns out to be mostly fanboy blabber (I think someone else called this posting style "stealth trolling"). Combined with your persistence these posts not only attract fanboys of the opposing camps but also make it hard for "neutral" users to stay calm.

Btw: I predicted HD DVD would win the format war because I never thought Warner could become Blu-ray exclusive. Seems I was wrong.

I have to say I agree that you've been spot on on some of those predictions and there's no way I could've come up with that.

It's amazing how intolerant people are when everyone's predictions are nothing more than pure speculation. I guess some predictions are cooler than others. Having not-so-cool predictions unleashes the flames.

Example of cool prediction: The wii will sell 40 million units next year

Example of not-so-cool prediction: The ps3 will sell 20 million units next year.

The former is ok to post, the latter will get you flamed.

Funny thing was my thread was based mostly on fact not speculation... I still got the negative nancy's saying i pulled numbers from my ass.

You know, that's quite awesome that your prediction as wild as they may have seemed in the past, actually came to pass.

I've got to say though, the people bringing the hate on ya are most likely scared that you may predict an outcome they may not like, and the thought of that simply infuriates them, hence the hate.

anyways, keep up the good work, because with out you balancing this place out a little, it would simply fall into the rabbid hands of Wii fanboys...which to be honest seems to be heading there anyways, and this is purely by judging the mods that are working today, about a year ago there was balance but now the mods are predominantly wii fanboys in power, they try hard to not show there bias, but at times they show the true colours and warnings are thrown out in favour of ban hammers.
