ted buddy you tread on thin ice with this one lol.

I may fall into the water, or maybe the ice will merely crack and I'll tiptoe across to land?

I think Ted is right. And I was one of the few who predicted the Wii would become market leader, too. I have some of the same reasons to believe this.

If I told you why, you probably wouldn't believe it.

One of the FEW?

And please, I have unimagineably great reasons for this prediction to fail that everybody knows.

That's fine.

Hey, nothing is ever set in stone. But there are ruling powers in our universe that make certain things more possible than others, if you have knowledge about it you can synchronize with it.

But always there's free will and varying possibilities. If I were to bet right now, and I felt comfortable with it, I'd probably go with Ted's prediction. But then again, the Wii didn't lead December 2006, mostly because of supply, so back then it was also one of these things that were up in the air but hadn't fully materialized in the market.

In terms of one of the few, well maybe by the time Nintendo got to the Wii it wasn't a few anymore. I made this prediction back in 2003, and I used to like Sega and Microsoft back then as a gamer. To this day I don't own a Wii, so it was never a biased prediction. You may not believe me but I really don't care.

1) That's crap.

2) Yes there is, but you still don't have any good reason.

3) So you made a prediction that was really based on nothing that Nintendo would dominate three years later? That was a stupid prediction, wasn't it?

Now, now. Be nice.

Well I would take that bet. This is nonsense.

As I have just checked, last year december Wii's sales are 5 897 400 units versus 2 140 572 for the PS3. That's a difference of 3 756 828 units !

The games that may have move harware for Wii are :

- Wii music

- Animal Crossing : CF

The games that may have move harware for PS3 are :

- Bioshock

- Little Big Planet

- Resistance 2

- Prince of Persia

- FarCry 2

- Call of Duty : World at War

- Fallout 3

They were all in the last quarter....

This November on Wii there is a 2D Mario Bros game which can be played multiplayer and the sequel of a 21.51 millions selling game (Wii Fit +).

And I don't think the pricecut will make a miracle, because even when the Xbox 360 Arcade dropped to 200 $ (which is somewhat the same crowd as the PS3) , it failed to outsell the Wii for only one week ! Wii is pretty solid at the top.

For those games, how would you confirm that?

i would take it but it looks like you have other people that beat me to it

Long Live SHIO!

If you look at last year's NPD, the Wii moved as many units in November as they did in December, while PS3 sales doubled from November to December. Tedster is trying to twist the sales patterns to his advantage by chopping NA Wii holiday sales in half while only losing 1/3 of PS3's sales.

Nevertheless, the Wii sold three times as much as the PS3 in the US last December, so it's still a pretty risky bet.
