If you played both systems, you should decide for yourself lol.

You might want to take a look at this thread for console exclusive games coming for the rest of 2009. I haven't updated it lately but most of them are still right.

Looks like more of your wanted games are from the PS3 library. With the added bluray capability PS3 would be a better option
IF yo play a LOT of multiplayer only games (and I am using Call of duty as an example since about 8 out of 12 friends who have this game have never even played the single player) and want to play with them the 360 arcade would be a good idea. I would wait a while before I buy the arcade since I am guessing that microsoft would make it more enticing (another price drop, games pack-in or hard drive) since they are shaving off 100$ from the other SKU.
Media capabilities wise PS3 is better, netflix integrtaion is good on XBOX360 but you have to have gold membership (which you will need anyway for multiplayer) but you can achieve the same effect with PS3 using playon or some other DLNA software.
DLNA software IMHO is actually a whole lot better since then u can see gametrailers, animeshipuddin, hulu etc in addition to netflix so $39 would be actually be a steal compared to $50 ($40/$30 if get it on sale) for gold every year for multiplayer and just netflix.

You don't NEED anything... the 360, having a great video card, a Bluray player, etc.
If you WANT the games the PS3 has eventually, you really won't get it if it becomes dirt cheap? You don't desire to play games and have fun? |
I tend to like games with online multiplayer more. LIVE is perfect for that. It's great to have alot of PC games in 360 because I don't have to face cheaters in 360 version.

Alright guys, I think I'm gonna pick up a 60gb PS3 at Gamestop for 329 with Uncharted, Ratchet, Killzone 2, MGS4, and going to download Wipeout HD and Fat Princess.
As for blurays, mom wants to rent Pans labrynth tonight.

What does LIVE have to do with stopping cheaters? If you don't even have a PS3 how can you experience PSN and know there are cheaters on a periodtic basis? You can't know that with only playing a few hours occasionaly at a friend's house.
I don't comment on LIVE, because I've never played on it long enough, nor at all.

Console gaming is much safer from cheaters than PC gaming. There are more PC games for 360 and more games in general.

Guys, it is a waste to try to sell him on 360's online service. He has school and seems to only be working during the summer. How is he going to keep paying for LIVE?
iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.
