360 elite then slim ps3 then arcade then wii

What? I have a PS2 and you can't buy a PS2 emulator

I am with you on this, I really expected them to pull out all the stops the measures they seem to be about to announce do nothing to lessen the revived PS3 in my opinion. The price rise for example in the UK is just crazy.

I hope they have another something to give before the Xmas peak shopping period. They have the new functionality and some good games they should now work on the price.

see this is the problem on sonys console, its automatically percieved as most expensive, in reality it works out cheaper.

what you get for $49 extra from Wii - $99 extra from 360 arcade, and $0 from 360 elite. its just to good to pass up.

but in my honest opinion its to difficult to sell bullet lists to consumers, the average ones i mean, as they will see entry price as thier main lookout.

When comparing consoles you should really list games i did not buy my Wii for Flash Memory or a wrist strap.

Same with the 360, i bought it without Hard Drive at the beginning to play RPG's.

That would be a long list.... he is just listing hardware features, they all have good librarys, whether or not they are great is merely personal preference

Personally, i'd still go 360. I really love Bio-Ware. They are my favorite developer. KOTOR is one of my Top 3 games ever. They were the determining factor in me buying a 360. If I didn't care about Bio-Ware and both system were $299 and didn't include any games in the box, i'd go for a PS3 10 times out of 10.

As for 360 or Wii. I don't know. I'd go for 360 because of Bio-Ware and the price. Plus it has my favorite fighting game ever: Marvel vs Capcom 2, which can fit on the internal memory of an Arcade unit.

If the two cost the same price and I didn't own either already... I don't know. I love Bio-Ware but right now there are Wii games coming out that I really want to play than 360 games. From what I know about the future 360 releases, the only games i'm seriously interested in at all are Alpha Protocol, FFXIII and Mass Effect 2. Wii has Fragile, Silent Hill, Muramasa, Tatsunoko vs Capcom, Metroid Other M, New Super Mario Wii and Mario Galaxy 2.

i can recall an interview  a while back, in where microsoft said something similar to what tretton said on fox news the other day, ie regarding losses on consoles replying with its all about the software + peripherals etc. which is fair enough

but the arcade will stay where it is imo. its at a mass market price, regarding the elite im not sure, its just been massivly dropped, how much more they can drop with the 120 gig hardrive i have no idea.

just for arguments sake, if they dropped from $299 to $229 for the elite, how much would the 120 harddrives then retail for

Exactly they all have great libraries, and its the games that make you buy a console not whats inside it. Games are the real value at the end of the day.
