Forums - Nintendo - Namco: Wii can't handle Tekken 6, PSP can.

I love how these companies would rather leave money on the table than develop games for the Wii.

Tekken is an established franchise. Why would you want to give a franchise of the calibur of Tekken a watered down port with horrible controls.

Obviously they can make the game like ps2 graphics and use the classic controller but the motion "standard" Wii controls would be horrible.

In short getting the game bad press

PSP makes "watered down" a bullshit argument. And claiming that an optional control setup will ruin the game is just more bullshit. And if reviewers bash on it for that, when the better control is right in front of their faces, that won't make the game bad. That will just make them idiots.

Most people who dont own a Wii and posted in this thread, missed the point (And I believe on purpose, to have something they could use against the Wii).

I would report you all but my PC isn't that fast and I wouldn't want to go through the trouble of doing it, but this thread isn't a whining thread like many ignorants have stated. If you have read the OP properly you would realize. No one is fucking whining about Tekken not coming, it's that crappy excuse that bothers people. When developers lie about the reason. The same guy who is quoted in the OP was the one that said some months ago that if Wii fans wanted the game they would have to make themselves be heard by Namco with petitions.

Somehow the game was doable like 3 months ago, but now it's impossible because the Wii is apparently weaker than the PSP. Give me a break... But I don't expect Wii haters to take this post serously, since their sole purpose is to spout shit about anything Nintendo related when there's a chance.

Since when did they say the PSP is stronger then the Wii? Oh i thought so they didnt stop making up crap for god sake.

Plus psp games look good because of the smaller screens. Imagine a psp tekken ported to the Wii then strethed across a big tv screen. The thought makes me shudder.

They also mentioned control scheme but i see you aint making an issue out of that. You ever thought its a little bit of both?

Underpowered hardware and a control scheme impossible to addapt to the Wii's controller

He wasn't writing they did. He was pointing out the obvious implication of their statement.

Yh and i can see the average consumer's shelling out all the money for a controller to go along with it. Plus traditional fighters dont sell well on the Wii

Not really because for a portable device the psp is more then strong enough. For a console the Wii is severly underpowered

Why would PSP owners not care about how poor their game looks compared to the HD consoles if Wii owners would (at least, that's what I'm getting from you noting the power difference between the Wii and HD's)?

To lavish praise upon this title, the assumption of a common plateau between player and game must be made.  I won't open my unworthy mouth.

Yeah, I can really see that all of you implying that can't tell the difference between a game exclusive controller and a wide use controller. Smash Bros showed plenty of players buying GC and CC for playing on that game, because they knew how the game was supposed to be played.

And VC shows they do sell well, so don't give me that crap.

Because the PSP's graphics magically only matter compared to the DS.

So buy a PS3 or 360.

This argument is old. How many times must the Wii get looked over or given some spin-off game before people stop complaining and just go buy a console that gets what they want?

Is like buying a PS3 then complaining it doesn't get any Metroid games.

I've been saying this for a very, VERY long time
