The 360 recieved a large boost for some reason.

It is not strange.

DS, PSP and X360 up because there were holiday in Japan
Wii only up a bit because it lost its MH3 effect (if not because of holiday it might drop lot)
PS3 is hard to find and everyone waiting for Slim/price cut but still up a little

ps3 actually sold more this week then the previous week, but the 360 had a big boost.  Maybe some japanese retailer was running some kind of promotion?

Maybe because the 360 in Japan has a great line up of Japanese games that people like.

PS3 was basically sold out over most of japan. The japanese are also very very picky with their money. I suspect magna carta 2 had something to do with it, even though the game is pretty bad.

the ps3 still sold more than it did the week before.  Also, magna carta 2 came out the week before, you would think the hardware surge would of been then.

So, why did 360 see a nearly 70% increase in sales?

Any Japan oriented games released?

Everything else looks normal, just a 360 jump. I mean there were no 360 games in the top 10. Interesting.
