Anyone heard any rumors about Sony charging for PSN in the future? Think it's possible?

Maybe next gen if they feel MS will stay with the fee schedule and they don't think they need the free online edge.

The only thing I've heard is a rumor about a premium service similar to the Zune subscription plan, but for PSN games.

I really doubt it, it's one of their main selling points, IF they ever charged, i think it would be for an extra service for something in the future, but the Psn available now will never be charged for

Invisible Walls started this rumor... they are saying that they see Sony charging for PSN rather than MS dropping the XBL cost.

Sony built their platform based on a free online experience, do you really think they are going to ruin their pricecut and new version of the PS3 by starting to charge for online?

If sony did this i'd stop gaming because i refuse to pay to play for any online service, free online gaming is the main factor i like the PS3.
