MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

If they were talking long term sales, 40-60% would seem about right or maybe a little high, but potentially only 40% increase for September seems awfully low. Unless they also expect for August to have a big increase over July's sells, based on the price cut. 40% over July's NPD numbers wouldn't be very impressive though.
