Still waiting for a PALADIN Class announcements T_T.

You'll be waiting till the first expansion at the earliest, they've always said the barbarian is the only returning class. Monk is probably the closest thing to paladin in D3

Hope you're wrong,  I can't lead any team with a class such a Monk.

The monk already appeared in Diable/Hellfire. And it was a really bad ass class as far as I remember. More like Shaolin monk.

Definitelly the one I'd play.

They will know Helgan belongs to Helghasts

Me too. I want a character in shining armor.

Sorcerer please, I just know how to play Diablo using Inferno =/

Wizard is like a sovs but with more stuff. Like telekenesis.

@Bokal.. This is like a shaolin munk. Go to the diablo 3 website. I even linked to the monk in my post above.

Check out my game about moles ^

Gah I don't like these close up, ingame graphic cutscene they are showing. When zoomed in it 'really' looks like the art style of WoW, which displeases me.

The class looks fun though.

Got to play it today at GC and the char is awesome

This is pretty damn cool. However I can't help but notice them being closer and closer to D&D. Barbarian? Monk? Sorcerer? What's next, Ranger?

Actually, that's exactly the last class I think they are going to announce.  Ranger just makes sense from all the clues they are giving, making hints that it won't be someone like Necromancer, Asassin or Druid because they were 'nearly profected' in Diablo 2, and an Archer seems to balance out the roster of Melee vs Ranged classes.

But anyway, holy bust a move Batman, this class is the best class announcement I could have ever hoped for!  It not only looks amazingly fun to play, it seems to bring a ton of new innovation to the Diablo series.  The ability to chain skills together is going to be amazing and makes the class my instant first choice for who I'm going to use.

But even more than this, it does something I've been wanting a game to do for a long time.  After years of trying to play many Monk/Melee type characters in MMORPGs, I never was satisfied with how they were handled.  Specifically classes such as Monk in Ragnarok Online, Commando in SWG, Fighmaster in PSO, etc.  None of them seemed to control the way I think a melee character should.  Partially I realize this is because most MMOs us to this point are either queue or turn based action fighting.  But also, I think it was because the games designers didn't hit onto something important the designers at Blizzard have with the creation of the Monk for Diablo.  Something I thought all of these previous characters should have had long ago.  Being able to chain moves and prioritize speed over HP.  In this way, once again, it looks like Diablo is going to surpass all the MMOs out there.

Play a monk class in Neverwinter Nights (D&D rulset 3.5 in video game form), it's VERY satisfying. Also I love the monk class, he's replaceing the assassin if anything and I loves the assassin. I can't wait!

Yeah, when NWN, Baulders Gate, etc came out, I was more into M:tG.  And Diablo of course.  But I'll look into it.  Though I have tons of other games I'm going to be playing as you can see from my list in my signature (including Diablo III with Monk eventually).
