Shadow Complex DLC Depends On Demand
Additional content dependent on marketplace interest.
August 21, 2009 - How long will Shadow Complex fans have to wait before they they can experience additional downloadable content? Developer Chair Entertainment isn't sure since, well, they haven't started making any yet.
Speaking on IGN's Three Red Lights podcast, creative director Donald Mustard gave some insight about what the studio's future plans are for its critically acclaimed Metroid-inspired game on Xbox Live Arcade. He reiterates the fact the game was designed to incorporate additional content from the start. That could either mean more of the challenged-based Proving Grounds levels being added, or completely new Campaign elements to explore.
Mustard insisted, though, it's still too soon after the game's launch to think about doing additions right now, and that fan support could ultimately determine the studio's interest in creating more Shadow Complex content.
"I think it's still a little bit early to tell whether the marketplace justifies that, or if people actually want more content," he said. "But if people want content, we'll give it to them. We have some cool ideas for stuff we could do."
Mustard also said the studio has no leftover content laying around; Everything they made for the game was included in the final version.
