Hey there guys...

As some of you may know, I'm now on active military duty. That means I'm home only on weekends... so I miss out on a lot of gaming news.

I returned here to see the PS3 Slim (w00t w00t!) and GT5 gameplay (w00t w00t w00t w00t!)...

Now... how does the slim measure up to what most of us have already? (phat models ftw!)... is there a release date for GT5? what else is new with SONY platforms?

PS2 Slim does everything the current PS3's can do (80GB, 160GB) other than install Linux. Still no BC. Price is $299.99 and it begins selling Monday or Tuesday in the US.

GT5 looks amazing but still no release date, only that it will "Follow shortly" behind GTPSP. Videos also laid the stupid "It's CGI" rumors to rest once and for all.

New HEAVY RAIN footage. Game looks amazing!

Who's army do you serve with Xen?

Slim: No BC and no option to Install new OS. It comes with a built in 120 Gig hard drive, which puts in on the level of 360 elite IMO. As a response, MS cut the price to the elite by a $100 which matches PS3's $299.

There have been 5 billion new threads a day about PS3 Slim, and 5 billion threads praising the 360 and pretty much the same old "PS3 ain't shit!" that we see on these forums.

Good news all around then, since most don't use Linux in their PS3 (I do though!).

GT5 is most likely this year too. w00t!
