PS3 wins in one department at least, it's the best looking console out of the 3. Be it Phat or Slim, they both blow the looks of the others away. Too bad the console wars aren't a beauty contest. |
I guess you don't realize how small a HDD can be.

I can easily find space in a PS2 Slim to slide in an iPod hard drive, and they have those at both significant amounts of storage space AND operating speeds. Additionally, they're not necessarily that terribly expensive, but it WOULD effectively prevent expandability, since mini HDDs are difficult to find.
A "PS3 Ultra Slim" would still be rather easily doable, considering they could remove the power converter and put in a mini HDD, then just shrink whatever else they can. With the right mechanics, PS3 can be made just as small as PS2 Slim.
