I guess I am going by my expreiences. I have my white 360 in the living room because the gal likes the Netflix, but when I brought up putting the PS3 out there she made a face and said "But it's just. . . so. . . big. . ." Thankfully I have the man cave. 
Also, the console that most closely resembles both the iPod touch and the PSP go would be the Wii, looks wise, it would still clearly be the winner. And to me the 360 has much nicer lines than the PS3. So maybe I was being biased, I'm just going by general impressions I have seen from casuals like my fiancee.
