Since he hasnt been released yet I'm guessing he'll be re-packaged as a masked luchador.

You need 3 strikes, which is odd they'd give Randy Orton the title (He's on his third).  Apparently Ricardo got suspended for taking weight loss pills.

I'm pretty sure they've discovered Orton taking other drugs but chose to ignore him cause he's a high profiler.

I've never heard of WWE letting go of a top face/heel at least recently.

Very few people have actually made it to three strikes.  The one's who get to 2 are generally dumped to midcard or on commentary.  Hell Orton was stuck in the midcard for how many years because he's on strike 3?  His contract is probably coming up so they'd want to get the most out of it.

Actually it isnt. An article from 2010 states

Randy Orton has signed a new long-term contract with World Wrestling Entertainment, reportedly for ten years.

He has also received a $600,000 payday for working the main event of last year's WrestleMania pay-per-view.

But i mean... is he really?  

Back in the day sure... but is he really any better then Alberto Del Rio at this point?  

I'd think you'd want to third strike just to void that contract he doesn't really justify.

Orton just can't play a face.

 To compare it to comic books, a lot of heels can play faces

You can be a "Cool" heel and become a good guy just start cutting your promos on bad guys,  you can be a goofy heel and be a good guy just get sort of goofier like mankind, you even be a "monster' heel and be a good guy... by having the big monster picked on and cheated.

Orton however was an Insane heel.  You can't turn him face, it's like turning the Joker into a good guy.  To turn him face you have to get rid of his violent outbursts and his punt putting people out of action for weeks....

and that's all orton ever had.  That's why he's such a boring face.  He doesn't really have that snake quality personality like Stone Cold or Jake the Snake that allowed them successful runs as face.

 

As for the WWE and drugs...

 

they just brought back Rob Van Damn right?

 

I mean, only Jeff Hardy is a bigger posterboy for drugs as far as wrestling goes.

He can be good on the mic - I've heard/seen some of his promos from ROH.

imo, him and Bray Wyatt/husky are the best talkers right now.

As odd as this sounds, Daniel Bryan is right now.

Well he signed a 10 year contract back in 2010 so he has a good number of years left - that and he's WWE champion and seems like they will be pushing him as the top heel in Raw.

Well that's what I mean though.  Randy Orton has a lot of years left on his contract....

so by violating the wellness policy 3 times they could eaisly terminate his contract.

Why not fire orton.  Get out of that giant cotract....

 

and if you really want him back... just let him bounce around 3 months and resign him for like 1/4th the money.

 

I mean what's Orton going to do?  Clearly not act.  TNA and ROH don't pay near as well.
