Well the reason I say Ziggler HAS to beat Jericho is becuase...well, Jericho's leaving. His contract is up and he's going on a big tour with Fozzy, and he's said on multiple occasions he LOVES putting new talent over...and the whole storyline revolves around the idea that Jericho can't win the big one anymore (he's lost every major match he's been in since returning, including the rumble, elimination chamber, his wrestlemania match with punk as well as his followup street fight with punk, and the money in the bank match)...and a lot of buzz going into summerslam is that he's looking to leave on a high note while making Ziggler look REALLY good.
I happen to like Ziggler a lot, he's easily one of the best wrestlers in the company right now, he sells his matches very well.
Not sure if you know this, but Punk has been slowly turning heel...he kind of turned on the rock and has been basically getting increasingly pissed off about Cena being the main event every Pay Per View in spite of HIM being the champion, and he's gotten increasingly bitter and entitled...so I think that'll keep him fresh enough to hold the belt...since it's rumored going to be him vs The Rock at Royal Rumble 2013 (Rock has been granted a championship match with whoever has the title going into Royal Rumble).
It's funny, I love Sheamous, butI just don't think Del Rio has much talent. His character is generic and stale, his move set is bland and unoriginal, and he's just not fun to watch. I mean, a good heel is entertaining to watch (Ziggler, Jericho when he was heel, Punk), but Del rio is so predictable and just boring, and his matches with Sheamous have been boring so far. I don't even remotely care about this match. will probably skip past it.
I heavily disagree with you about Lesnar. I think he'll win, if he loses I'll just facepalm. Seriously, if he loses again, he will just be one huge wasted opportunity. Dude's legitimately one of the toughest guys in the world, he deserves to be treated as the human wrecking ball he is. Rumor has it he's gonna be at survior series. you want to make HIM look epic....simple, 1 on 5 survivor series match, Brock vs say 5 midcard faces like Zack ryder or something. Watching him eliminate one of them after another would be a hell of a win.
The tag champs are Kofi Kingston and R-Truth, two dudes that are actually really awesome wrestlers, but the lack of focus in the tag division has put them on the backburner.
Miz and Rey is a good match, but I think it'd be better with Christian in the middle...as he's the previous IC title holder...kind of sick of seeing him constantly pushed to the back, even when he wins titles and matches. Happened last year after Edge's retirement, he took the World title, then promptly lost it to Orton, and after a short feud (I think 3 PPV's), he jsut disappeared.
That said, there are some pretty key people missing from the pay per view...namely Randy Orton (who recently returned from suspension) and Wade Barret (who is on the verge of returning from an arm injury), as well as Christian, Ryback, and a few other people I think need some exposure.
Also, what's with all the singles matches? Throw some stipulations in there. I mean, the most exciting match on the card is a goddamn triple threat match (which is good, but not enough.) Tag match could be tag tornado, Brock and HHH could be no DQ, Ziggler vs JEricho should be a ladder match for the Money in the Bank Briefcase, or an I Quit match (since Jericho is leaving). I should be on creative. ANYONE would do better on creative than what they've got. so many horribly missed opportunities.
Okay, so Ryback and Jinder Mahal are kind of in a rivalry...and mahal has been routinely running away form ryback....okay, Cage match! they did it to Bryan when he was getting comfortable running. Plus it'd make Ryback interesting, and if Mahal won, it would put him over pretty hard, since it would be Ryback's first loss. SO much potential lost there! tha's a web of like 6 different outcomes, each better than what they have on the card. None of which is too far over the top.
