The promo that John Cena did towards the end of Raw was horrible. I can't figure out what type of reaction he was trying to get. The crowd couldn't either.

By the way, did anyone know that Daniel Bryan is doing the same "role model" bit that Chris Jericho did for a short period of time several years ago in WCW.

Speaking of Jericho, I hope that he kicks the crap out of CM Punk if for no other reason but because Punk went ringside to watch the Battle Royale match in a T-shirt, trunks, and a $15 suit jacket. What a horrible sense of style.

I don't generally like Cena promos but the one he did at the beginning of the night was fairly funny. The one at the end though was just atrocious.

what did Cena do? I didn't get a chance to see it. Downloading Raw now.

Took shots at The Rock. Stuff that he's been mainly repeating for awhile now, and Cena believe he's now a savior for a specific group of wrestlers or something.

It was just a poor promo, Cena just can't accept that The Rock moved on with his life.

yeah, that does sound pretty lame.  They're reallymaking cena look like the bad guy here. I like it when two great guys fight but have mutual respect, I find those the bestmatches.

Sorry to be gone for a while guys! I've actually been more into wrestling lately than I have in a while, I attended a ROH show a few months ago, and loved the new younger guys they are pushing. Last month I went to Royal Rumble and was amazed at the crowd (the biggest thing I ever went to prior was Backlash 2002) and Now I will be attending a TNA house show in a few weeks. It's not perfect, but I think all 3 companies are heads above what they were last year.

Raw thoughts:

UGH! Way to have Big how almost kill half the roster last night! when he hurled Ziggler out of the ring in that battle royal, he dislocated Barret's elbow, and knocked Ziggler and Truth unconscious! After what happened to Jesse Sorensen in TNA a few weeks ago, you'd think they wouldn't do something like that.

edit for reference:

that's how Ziggler hit the table

Sorensen broke his C1 vertebrae in this spot

and before I'm off - I wonder if this is a work - http://www.24wrestling.com/video-cm-punk-challenges-chris-brown-to-a-fight/

oh man, ow...that sounds horrible!

I agree with Cena about the Rock. I love the rock, as a wrestler and an actor, but Cena said it right and I agree with him. Reminds me of the thing with CM punk last year.

ah Wrestling. I'm trying to stay interested but it's hard. I've always liked the silly storylines and watching guys beat the hell out of each other is great regardless of the supposed homoerotic overtones.

As I watch, though, it becomes evident that I missed some awesome shit back in the day. I stopped watching sometime in 2004...and between then and my return (Wrestlemania 2011)....turns out I totally missed the rise of one of my favorite wrestlers: Edge. Jeff Hardy is gone and he was one of my favorites as well, and Jericho was nowhere to be found....and now that Jericho's back, he's boring as hell.

What happened? there are no gimmicks, to the untrained eye they all look the same, and god...why do they all wear speedoes? I remember when Jericho wore pants, had long hair, and was a high flyer. Now he's just boring. Orton has a tonne of skill but he keeps getting injured or underused. Punk is awesome, but he doesn't strike me as "WWE title" material, he should be fighting for Intercontinental or US championship, leave the big titles to the physically big guys. They call it 'heavyweight' champion for a reason.

It's weird, something is amiss in the WWE, yet I keep tuning in in the hopes it gets interesting.

At least Sheamus is awesome. I love watching him flip out.

Jeff Hardy is in TNA. and is still as crazy as ever. High flying suicidal maniac.

I went to watch TNA Impact Wrestling at Wembley Arena. It was a really fun night. First wrestling show i have been to since WCW.

TNA is on a role at the moment. Dont care for eric bishoff sone though. Austin Aries is great. Huge props to Jeff Hardy for putting on a good show even with a injured back.

yeah, I know Jeff is in TNA, but for some reason I just can't bring myself to watch it.  different commentators, different ring stuff, overall different feel.  I would feel like a dirty, dirty whore if I started watching anything else.

if there are youtube videos of Jeff (he's really the only must-see star on TNA) doing his thing, I wouldn't mind seeing that.  Wait, are the dudley boyz on TNA?

^yup, they've been there since 2005. Funny thing is, they have actually sucessfully made Bubba Ray (now calling himself Bully Ray) into a sucessful singles guy, and a threat to the world title, had anybody said that 5 years ago I would have laughed. D-Von is there still, but he is not in a big feud ATM.

Other well known guys in TNA that you may not be aware of:

Jeff Jarrett - created the company

Kurt Angle - I think he's done some of his best work in TNA since 2006

RVD - although his contract may be up

Sting - He's the "authority figure in TNA right now

Mr. Anderson - Mr. Kenendy in WWE

Kid Kash - he was in ECW, and later WWE

Taz - color commentary

Scott steiner - still awesome

and in semi inactive roles (managers basically) - Hogan and Flair
