Ah. An early sacrifice spelled victory for my team. I told you people, it was That Guy! Good to know my townie bredren ran with that and uncovered the other Mafia.

I'm definitely in for the next game.

I hope I get a better role than vanilla townsfolk next game. I'm always stuck as townsperson or doctor.

Then you should have signed up at a different time. The system I used to assign roles was pretty simplistic this time around.

I don't see much of a pattern, though Scratch that, looking at it closely, I see the pattern. One special role, one townie, and so on


Next time, I suggest drawing papers of a bag

Well I was going to go for all even numbers with special roles originally, but that gave the same people as last time important roles. Obviously this won't work a second time, although I was tempted to try it again in the future. All roles were ultimately pre-determined by whether someone signed up on an even or odd spot, which I was going to mention (minus the part where I say how it was pre-determined) before the first role was assigned. Technically there was even odds for That Guy being a special townie or mafia.

Can I suggest, for the next round, that everyone has a special role? Just to make it a bit different. If you look at the echochamber.me forum where I got forum mafia setup from, almost all of their games are themed in some way.

For example:

A Jester who wins only if they are lynched.
A Godfather of the mafia who shows up Town if investigated, or a Miller who is Town but shows up Mafia.
An independent Cult group who recruit one member a night and win if they have a majority with no Mafia inflitration

I like this one but it basically makes it impossible for the non-mafia/non-cult to win.
