Relax people, it will be like the PSPhat to slim. Games won't look better buy they may load faster and things like in-game xmb may run smoother. Don't expect games to preform any better than slightly faster loading...

No but it can play MGS4 and Valkyria Chronicles.

If it was a major upgrade from the fat Cell, i´m sure Sony would make a LOT of noise on this. Also, some old games could not run correctly.

Don´t think there will much difference in playing in the fat or in the slim.

I hope this improvement will stop news like "rage 360 version runs faster...".

Well it might add speed to some advancements like in game chat or faster speeds while scrolling through the XMB while in a game. With this news and that there will be no B/C at all in the future.. I might end up getting a slim this year.

The speed may not end up being noticeable in the final version of the hardware which is why I'm still wondering what happened to the GPU. With Nvidia being tight lipped and IBM not commenting on the final clock speed of the microprocessor there's a lot that is unanswered at this moment.

However, I'm hoping that within the first few days of the new hardware being released,  people will end up stress testing and speed testing the hardware to see how it differs (if at all) from the original.

Hell I'd be happy if the new processor simply made updates install faster, but time will tell.
