Why you people want to trade in the old PS3 for that ugly slim is beyond me. The fat models look much nicer and are a lot more stable (presumably) at this point. You'll regret trading in for a slim.

It isn't stupid at all... the price drop lowers trade in value... you cant expect to get the same amount of money for it when the sale price becomes cheaper.

Also, I see 80 GB models on craiglsist without BC for 250 already with bundled games. People want the slim I guess...

I sold my PS3 60 gig with BC on ebay for $300.00 with one night of posting it as a Buy It Now (so I guess that means I sold it too cheap), but a new model like Slim that causes a price reduction in the 80 and 40 without bc, since it doesn't have bc either, will make 60s in good shape that have the BC seem even more collectable and rare. Even if it doesn't drive the 60 up to $500, I don't think there is any way you'll see 60s with BC in good shape ever going for less than $300.00 on ebay (unless they're broken or something).
