Online retailer Amazon has warned that due to the high demand for PS3 slim, the new limit for preorders in the US has gone from five per household to one per household.

The newly designed console has already climbed to the top of the Amazon game sales charts.
Better hurry if you want one right away folks. This may happen in the UK as well.

once Sony starts their marketing blitz, yeah I can see it start happening, especially when one considers that Sony has only been manufacturing these Slims for like 2-3 months max.
Retailers will say the damnedest things to increase sales. We heard a lot of this at the beginning of this generation as well. Can we honestly say that they will give an impartial appraisal of the situation.
Well, I remember back 2007 when PS3 showed to don't sell "Well" some analysts predicted that when it reached the 300$ mark and Slim sales would skyrocket in a way that PS3 reach wii and be a tie with it. Well, may it become true now.

they wouldn't limit them to one per household if they wern't doing really well.
I doubt the demand is going to be that high in this economy.
