HD gaming, if I understand your definition thereof, as the crisp visuals presented in High Def format, regardless of the actual game genre, is here to stay. Nintendo has even suggested that their next home console will support HD graphics.

If you are referring to the type of games commonly found on HD systems, mostly M -rated, "core" games, then no, you'll see a lot more casual entries on the way, as mentioned before.

Hardcore is a very obscure term, I guess everyone has his own definition. To clarify, when I said that, I didn't mean "core gamer", a.k.a. enthusiastic gamer, but I meant : "traditional gamers who prefer the game ideal of the previous two generations and the current HD consoles, with cinematic games, spectacular graphical technology, and generally the length, learning curve, complexity, and controls of these generations' best games." 

That's the same way I think of this.

I'm glad developers prefer HD or the Wii.

But yeh PS360 has been beating the Wii for a LONG time.

Companies will make games that sell, and aslong as our Assassin's Creed's, Modern Warfare's, God of War's, Halo's, Fallout's, Grand Theft Auto's, Resident Evil's, Bioshocks and whatever else keep selling these games will continue to exsist.

I've no problem with a casual orientated game market like the Wii co-exsisting on any console, it can ultimately only be good for gaming. Casual gaming will never 'replace' the games 'we' love, only expand the industry into making more games for more people. Hopefully we'll see it help to expand more people into liking the games 'we' love, and thus making more games 'we' love exsist.

XBOX 360 sales are average and PS3 sales are terrible, but really good if added together.

Considering that the audience for 360, PS3 and PSP are pretty much the same, I'm glad that Nintendo is easily beating the competition. :P

I'm glad to see MS lose 70% marketshare of anything.

I'm also glad to see Sony struggle to get to 20%.

The Wii will eventually beat both PS3 and 360 in terms of combined marketshare but i do not really see why people have problems with it. Wii is a progress but in a different direction and offers as much quality as the PS360 it all depends on taste.
