I am reading a lot about PS3s being hard to find. Is this a worldwide phenomenon or limited to certain areas (Japan, US, etc...)?
The price drop will bosst sales for sure but availability could then come into play seeing as it is Sony's goal to get rid of the "phats".

Well considering the "shipment" number of PS3's was over 500k+ sitting on shelves not too long ago (or was it more?) I think there will be plenty of phat PS3's lying around for a few weeks or so.
It's just that simple.
All of the top games are on Nintendo systems except for the cricket game, which also did best on Wii.
