Forums - Microsoft - XBOX LIVE - Party with REAL chat!

Some of mine too.

But you can't party chat with them like on LIVE, can't you? You can't play Assassins Creed 2 and chat with your friends at the same time, can't you?

Why would I want to chat with them while I am playing AC II? I will be immersed in the game and not wanting pointless chat. And, party chat allows cheating; in Gears of War 2, when somebody dies, they can't talk, but with party chat, they can talk to their friend and that would be annoying if I was on the end of that.

And hey, I don't really want to pay for the content in my games twice

I never got the point why you would want to talk to a friend playing a different game.

if anything it would be irritating

I like lan's too. But some of my friends can't be next to me everyday. So we use LIVE to play and chat every night.

The point is that it's fun, it's fun to chat with friends while you play. You guys should try it.

And it isn't 40, it's 27:

You just have to look for the best prices.

Actually I do.

We created a party with some friends yesterday. Some were playing Lost Planet 2 demo in coop, others RE5.

We talked while everybody was finishing his current game to finally all join in a BF1943 game.

Sometimes, I also join party to discuss with friends, even if they are busy in another game.

People can also drop in/out without the intervention of the party leader... etc.

Kinda cool.

Evan Wells (Uncharted 2): I think the differences that you see between any two games has much more to do with the developer than whether it’s on the Xbox or PS3.

Mmmmmm.......

Interesting to read some things you guys say. When PSN starts to charge a fee for their services and implements voice chat I want to see your comments then.

"WOW great!"

"Finally!"

"Awesome!"

I use parties as well. Isn't a deal breaker, but it is nice. Especially since a lot of games implement party matchmaking.

Matchmaking and TrueSkill are the main reasons I like Live.

Yep. Now you can also push your whole party from game to game... awesome.

Sony will definitely not charge for PSN this generation, it is one of the features on the side of the box saying free PSN. Some people will say finally when it comes, but I don't care

Ok.

Regarding charging, are you POSITIVE about that? Let's wait and see.....

here we go, xbox 360 vs playstation 3, good vs evil... both console have there weaknest.

Which console should I buy ? It's not a easy choice to do (go see my threads about that and you're gonna understand...) I plan to buy a new console in a couple of day and I plan to buy a new ps3 slim cause it's blueray... I thing at the same price, PS3 is superior. But, don't get me wrong, Xbox 360 is a excellent product too !!
