Forums - Nintendo - Do you think the New Zelda title will be announced at TGS 2009 or E3 2010?

Nintendo has their own conference in October. Last year they announced DSi and Punchout there, so Zelda has a good chance of being revealed. Although I'll put my money on E32010 for Zelda.

Possibly a name-drop in October, but i don't think anything more significant or material will be seen until E3 2010

I expect a name for the game and maybe a trailer but nothing more.... More of the games features and extras will be at E3 2010 and will release in time to counter Halo Reach and Fable 3

Zelda > Halo Reach + Fable 3 Yay Ninty

I just lost hope in the Halo series after Halo 3 well i mean to say it wasn't good but its just my opinion....

No Wii Zelda announcement until E3 2010 at the absolute earliest, and there's still no guarantee that it'll actually come out next year.

This reminds me, wasn't Zelda supposed to go steam punk? Isn't that the most popular theory going around? Fable III has gone steam punk apparently, coincidence i think not.

That was part of that fake rumor about "Zelda: Valley of the Flood."

 

I mean, Spirit Tracks is kinda sorta steampunk (not really), so it's not impossible, but it wasn't a true rumor.

Traditionally, GDC is the event that Zelda games are announced, so you'll likely have to wait until March 2010.

Then you missed out on one of the best Zelda's ever.

As an oldschool, hardcore Zelda fan, I have to strongly disagree. Wind Waker was lacking a lot of substance compared to OOT or MM, which are by far the tops. TP is a close contender to MM for 2nd place, but hits 3rd for 3D Zeldas.
