You could always, you know call Microsoft tech support?

It's really not that kind of problem (yet).  The first step is just figuring out what two flashing red lights mean and instead of making a thread, waiting for an answer and wading through the sarcastic responses, it would be much quicker to put on the big boy pants and search Google (or bing :-p) or Xbox.com.

I really have no idea what two red lights means, it could be as simple as something is plugged in funny (4 red lights) or as bad as three red lights (RRoD), and if it's something that's actually bad, then he call MS tech support and sit there on hold and find out what to do.

Like I said earlier, I've already googled it (not bing!ed it).  I have read through all sorts of faqs about red lights, but none have shown the code that I have, bottom 2.  I have seen all 4, 3, left 2, and 1.  Since my google search failed I thought I would ask here.

I will try xbox.com though like Jagged suggested, and if that doesn't work, call tech support.

^ Don't listen to him. He tells u to go someplace else to find your answer and then he says he doesn't know the answer. How hillarious is that.

I tell him to go someplace else because I don't know the answer (because I've never needed to look it up). Why would I bother looking something up I really don't care too much about?

It would be hilarious (or sad, whichever way) if I told him what it was even though I had no clue what it was or hadn't looked it up.

I see, apparently all those codes assume that your xbox is standing on it's side, it's easier to tell on your link b/c it shows the power icon in the middle, instead of the ascii codes.  So I guess I don't have bottom 2, I have the left 2.  Thanks for the links.

Now that I know what's broken, I'm going to call MS to see if it's still under warranty, if not, I'll take a crack at fixing it.

overheated

TC, is your 360 actually broken? Or does everything work even with the two lights flashing? Just wondering, because I haven't heared of this combination before and it might just be that the lights are broken instead of the actual 360. Maybe an unneeded thing to say but you have unplugged everything and reconnected it, right?

It looks like an overheating problem, I'd phone MS and get it sorted.

Without being the sarcastic, why would you trust anything you read on the internet when the (correct) answers you are looking for are only a phone call away.

Google should lead you to actual responses or Xbox.com.  This isn't some really technical problem, it's a pretty simple one so I'd imagine it wouldn't be that difficult to find.

The only reason I wouldn't advise calling support right away is because going to someplace like Xbox.com is *much* quicker and is only worth it if it's a problem that actually requires you to call support.
