But this new font looks a lot better than the Spiderman one.

They've also chagned the design of ps3 game cases and are shipping all Slims with firmware 3.0, and thus the (somewhat) redesigned XMB.

This is a bigger overhaul for a console mid-gen than we've ever seen before.  I'm not sure how effective it'll be, however.  For example, new ps3 game cases sitting alongside the old ones will ruin the consistancy of ps3 shelf space, and make the new (and thus for now, minority) cases look out of place.

I like it, the PS3 had a hardcore attitude which went hand in hand with the high price. The Wii and 360 have a more open, relaxed and cheerful attitude. The new logo, slim look and price really give he console a new impression. The new compleet package can persuade people to get one and not just to people who were already waiting for a price drop.

Huh? You're ashamed to be human because some people like aesthetically pleasing collections? I can see how you would be ashamed of systematic genocide, slavery, rape, and torture... but people who have a moan about a game case? Nah, don't see it, myself.
