For it's own sales its not just reliable, it's dead on. How can a list of the actual sales figure for your own website be wrong?.It's like saying "Hmm, i've sold 5 glasses of lemonade, i think that figure is pretty reliable of my actual lemonade sales"

The point is not that Amazon list is wrong for what Amazon sells, it's exatly right. The point is that you can't use it to determine the success of something as it is just anecdotal evidence.

Amazon sales Do matter, its a HUGE business, i dont see what you find to be so wrong about this comment, Obviously its going to sell like crazy (Ps3 slim)...and Obviously PS3 slim is selling out like hotcakes on Amazon...I have no idea what your point is.

It's not a case of amazon does not matter, but we cannot just extrapolate from amazon sales, they are not the largest seller of video games, but they do offer charts like this. GAME, the largest retailer in the UK for games doesn't give charts like this so we can't find out anything from them.

Oh, and the PS3 slim is also top in Japan, so it does kind of represent the world as there are amazons world wide

Well, the problem with the link in the OP is that it's the best MOVING items, not the best SELLING items. As others have said, the PS3 remains at number 1 when looking at the correct list, but the rest are much further down. (The black PSP Go is at #256, white at #414 as of now.)

I suppose if you really want to get technical, I did look at Gamestop's site. The PS3 Slim is listed there, but only the old PS3 80 GB shows up in the top 50 (at number 48).
