the average price of the ps3 before the cut was around 380€

ps3 (80gb) is around 370€ on average
ps3 slim (120gb) is around 355€ on average

As far as I can find out, the Venezuelan currency is the (VEF) Boulivar Fourte (Natural denomination is the BS) which is currently trading at:

1 USD - 0.47 VEF

I do not compute what 3.500.000 millions BS stands for.

Do you mean that the the cost of a PS3 pre-pricecut is 3500 BS (VEF)?

i meant the old bs. if it is the new one, the bolivar fuerte. it would be 3.500bs. i think thats is the price of the ps3 here. at least that was the price when i saw them a while ago. sorry i am a little stupid with prices and stuff jejejejjeje.

Is this in USD or BRL - I have a previous source quoting 1400 BRL? Which is $760 that's the 80gb model correct? Will brazil be getting a price cut when the slim arrives?

first number is in BRL, second in USD

so 1300BRL for the 40gb, which is about 700USD

the 80gb is 1600BRL, which is about 860USD

 

Sony doesnt officially sell the PS3 in Brazil, the stores imports from the US, so thats why a small variation in price can occur. and that also means that its impossible to know when the ps3 slim will arrive and how much it will cost.

Man, those are some outrageous prices. I'm never complaining about our console prices again. Are the 360 and Wii so overpriced too? Sorry to drag things off topic, but I'm just wondering if those ridiculous prices are keeping PS3 down in the wider Americas market.
