Can the cell and RSX go smaller than 45 nm? If not other than a thiner disk drive where would they be able to cut the size for another revision?

It's quite a lot slimmer, but not much smaller in terms of area it seems. The depth seems the same, the width is a bit reduced.

Why do people want the brick outside the box? I like it a lot better inside. Wii's is small but a pain in the ass sitting in the back of my cabinet behind my Wii.

360's is well, huge.

Sony's design in trying to keep it inside is much preferred.

Make the core product smaller? I dunno.

Again, its still better to have it inside. On the outside it just gets in the way.

I agree, but again, to make the core product cheaper they can make people get the "extra" stuff as external peripherals.

Power brick, fans, wireless internet... quite a few stuff probably.

What extra stuff. Sony isn't going to make you buy the power cord / brick separately.

The only reason would be to make the physical box smaller, like Nintendo did with Wii. But, I'd rather have a few inches slapped on the back and only one slim cord going out back to wall.

Without gimping it. I doubt they could make the fans smaller if they don't shrink the chips again. Too much heat.

@ WereKitten

Ah. I'm obviously conflating it with upscale 360 SKUs. Thanks for clearing that up.

I'm not talking about Sony =)
