Its a £50 price cut... with the current strength of the pound, the UK have only been paying 330 euros for a PS3 for the last couple of months...

No the RRP has gone from £300 to £250, hence a £50 price cut. Shops can bundle what they like with the PS3 Slim.

This weak pound line is nonsense.

Now Sony have the price at £250 and the pound increases in value they won't lower the price.

It will stay at that price until an official price cut. That's how it works here.

Once the pound increases in value they will be making even more profit (or losing less) than they are now so they will not drop the price out of the goodness of their heart.
For them this is good business sense and they can get away with it so they will.

This applies to Ninty and MS.
It also applies to Apple but in fairness to them they rip you off no matter where you are.

It still expensive i paid for my Xbox 360 127 Pounds in April with 2 games, 249 is more acceptable than 299 but its still the most expensive console out there, people that were holding on buying it might get it but majority will still pick the cheaper products.
