Thats what you should expect from this thread, since thats what I see

Yea it's gonna have a big effect in the west, but this thread is about Japan. I don't see the price cut effect going into the holiday season, hell the last price cut was in November and it didn't even have an effect on December sales, many people believed that the raise in sales in November actually lowered sales in December.

In Japan, any game that does 100k or so in it's first week pretty much boosts hardware. So yeah, Tales games do boost hardware. Wait 'till Tales of Ten comes out for the Wii. Hardware will be boosted.

Considering the size of the average Tokyo living room, I think the PS3 Slim will do very well in Japan.

I don't know, NSMB Wii could be too much even for GT5 + PS3 slim with pricecut. But still, Wii market could be saturated in Japan :P

I remember when the DS suppose to be saturated in Japan. Then it started outselling the PSP more often, and now we have less people saying that it is saturated. I don't think the Wii will be saturated for a while. It didn't even break 10 m yet.
